‘Oceans Stones’, the first project from OKO OLO seeks to elevate found natural objects by rendering them in a distinctly different material. Using the process of lost wax casting to create a facsimile of something that may seem common to the eye.
Each OKO OLO bronze handle is hand cast from individual ocean stones collected from shorelines along the New South Wales Coast of Australia.
Made in a fine arts foundry in Sydney, each casting creates a new surface, leaving no two handles the same. Each piece finished individually to create a unique patina.
