Visually enchanting, Solace emerges from a series of experiments that use innovative engineering and push the boundaries of traditional glassblowing techniques. Through the blowing process, each complex shape develops a distinct, subtly textured glass surface, making every light truly one of a kind.
Available in pendant and table lamp archityes, Solace finds its place whether suspended or individually, clustered in formations or positioned upright on a surface. Each glass shade is crafted in Australia and hand assembled in the Ross Gardam Studio. This sculptural pendant is available in a selection of mouth blown glass finishes combined with a highly refined brass body in natural hand-rubbed brass, bronze or blackened brass.
Nicole Lawrence (b. 1993) is a Melbourne-based designer and maker specialising in furniture and lighting. Balancing structural purpose with artistic freedom, Lawrence draws on her technical expertise from over a decade of working with a myriad of materials and her process-led methodology to create contemporary, collectible pieces.
