Conceived by Articolo’s founder and creative director Nicci Kavals, draws inspiration from the iconic design era of the 1980s Milanese design movement, characterised by bold forms and fluid silhouettes. The collection’s exquisite geometry and simplistic beauty make it a standout addition to contemporary interiors. Rolo is an extended family of twelve pieces comprising wall sconces, pendants, and lamps. Each piece is designed to cast circular light, with the scope and intensity varying based on placement, dimensions, and orientation. This shared sculptural form ensures a synergy among grouped pieces, creating a cohesive and elegant aesthetic in any setting.
Kavals explains, “Rolo is a large lighting family; there’s something for every space in the home. There are fixtures that are significant in scale for expansive homes and commercial spaces, as well as lamps that feel comfortable in apartments.” Crafted with the utmost attention to detail, the Rolo collection is made from mouth-blown glass in a pale Snow finish, complemented by fine metal detailing available in Brass, Mid Bronze, Satin Nickel, and a sophisticated deep burgundy powder coat with a matching flex cord. This rich burgundy hue, inspired by atelier craftsmanship in Italian haute couture, adds a timeless touch to the collection.
